Community Solar Garden Subscriber

What They Do: Subscribers simply sign up and enjoy the benefits. Why They Do It: Subscribers share of the energy produced each month is subtracted from their energy bill. Their energy bill continues to be reduced by the amount of energy their shares produce. If electricity prices rise, that part of the electric bill remains the same.

Community Solar Garden Subscribers

Subscribers to Community Solar Gardens, or CSGs typically do not own equity of the solar panels or the project.  Community Solar Gardens are usually owned by solar developers, who sell subscribers a share of the electricity produced by the solar panels for the term of the contract.
